About This Project:
Assessment: These beautiful doors had not been previously stained and were beginning to look distressed. The homeowners wanted to transform them and do it so that the doors would have integrity throughout the different seasons.
Advice: Due to the color change, LIME sanded the doors to a new wood profile, allowing the wood to absorb the stain based on its natural porosity. We then applied a dark premium wiping stain to the doors and top-coated with a spar-urethane in a satin finish to seal the doors, leaving a furniture-like finish and a slight sheen for durability against the sun.
